My Knife Collection

So, believe it or not, after collecting knives for 10+ years, I have amassed quite a collection. I frequently buy and sell my knives to keep my collection current and try out new knives. Many of my knives are clones, as I rarely actually use them to cut anything hard and I don't have a desire to have the latest and greatest blade materials.

Butterfly Knives

Baliplus Orca v1.5

By far one of my favorite flippers ever. Baliplus hit it out of the park with this one. It's nimble, while weighing a little more. The balance is quite neutral despite the material on the handles and blade. The machining quality is great, and it is a beautiful knife. I have no complaints and I think this clone deserves a hall of fame status.

Armed Shark Tsunami

The AS Tsunami is one of, if not the best, balisong clone I have flipped in a long time. Its balance is impeccable, the machining is spot on, and the tune it came with was perfect. There is literally nothing wrong with this trainer, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect clone.

TheOne Orca

I received this knife for cheap in a bad state. After anodization, new hardware, and some tuning it ended up being one of my favorite flippers. It definitely isn’t the best balisong as it develops play and tap incredibly quick. Overall though it’s a fun little flipper and I think is an underrated clone.

Baliplus Kraken

The B+ Kraken is a great aluminum balisong that is dead neutral and flips great. The overall design helps to maximize flipping and honestly looks incredible. Although my blade was bent (likely due to poor heat treating), it’s a great balisong and one of my all time favorites.

Baliplus Replicant

My B+ replicant is one of, if not my favorite balisong. I started modding this knife and personalized it to make it mine. I anodized the titanium to achieve a fade, filed out the scales, acid-washed the blade and screws, and tuned it to my liking. The balance is decent, and the handles are smooth while offering enough grip to complete most tricks. It truly is an incredible balisong.

TheOne Chab

TheOne Chab was my first actual good flipper balisong. The balance is almost neutral, and it's grippy and fast. The handles are thin but rectangular, allowing for ladders and underhanded fans while not getting in the way. Although the blade is scary sharp, it is an incredible balisong that will be in my forever collection.

SquidIndustries Triton V1

This Triton was one of my first expensive balisong and opened the door to so much more. It flipped much better than my other balisongs, and although the handle gap is completely gone, it still serves as a great balisong.

Böker Plus Trainer

The Boker Plus was my first real balisong and closely imitated the old Benchmade balisongs I adored. The screws stripped quickly and I could never take the pocket clip or latch off. It is really short and wasn’t the best, but it was a knife I really adored.

Squid Industries Squiddy

This was the next logical upgrade to my collection, allowing me to practice outside my house without worrying about my balisong breaking. I put this thing through a lot and learned a lot of tricks on it. Although this was a nice upgrade, the play and lack of weight hindered me from learning tricks. Would definitely recommend this because it is a non-threatening balisong to flip in public.

Cheap Benchmade Clone

This is one of the first balisongs I ever got, probably in ~2015. It was from AliExpress, and if memory serves me correctly, it cost about $3. I had it engraved at a Boy Scout camp I attended by a man who had two watches, one on each wrist. This thing was one of my first beaters and helped me get into the hobby.

Pocket Knives

OK Benchmade 560 Freek

The Freek fits nicely in the hands and has a grippy but not rough texture to its handles. The weight is nearly perfect. The action is butter smooth. Overall it’s a great pocket knife and one I would recommend to anyone looking for a solid EDC.

OK Spyderco Chaparral

The Chapparal lacks any good action while being too small for normal use. It remains in my collection as it’s design is beautiful.

OK Benchmade 484S-1 Nakamura

The Nakamura has great action, fits nicely in the hands, and is an overall great pocket knife. I have some reservations against it, but have never been able to verbalize why. Regardless, it’s a solid EDC.

OK Benchmade 15080-2 Hunt

The hunt is a seriously large knife. It is too big to EDC comfortably (regardless of pulling out a massive knife) but feels smooth and has good grip. It’s a fun knife in my collection and one that people tend to enjoy checking out.

OK Chris Reeve Small Inkosi

Probably one of my favorite knives despite its horrible action issues. The size, design, and overall feel is great. Pocket clip is a little too tight but serves its purpose.

OK Benchmade 3400 Autocrat

Being one of my only OTF’s, the Autocrat is decent when it works. The blade continues to get stuck and not engage. I have cleaned it, oiled it all to no avail. Regardless it’s a fun little piece to have and play with.

OK Reate Gravity Knife

One of my favorite knives, this thing is so fun to flick out and in. Although I wish it had tighter tolerances, it’s a nice fidget knife that feels really rigid when engaged.

OK SOG Kiku XR

A weird little knife, the SOG Kiku XR is a thick and rough knife. The handle has a good grip and the blade feels sturdy when in use. Its way too thick to use regularly though, so I often don’t carry it.

OK Spyderco Shaman

The Shaman is by far my favorite pocketknife. Its large while being thin enough to EDC. The action is butter smooth and the Spyderco flicks are incredible. I see very little to nothing wrong with this knife. This will be a staple in my collection for the foreseeable future.

OK Benchmade 535 Bugout

The Bugout really is a solid EDC choice. For how cheap the Ok knives version is, it’s a no brainer for first time pocket knife buyers. My only complaint is the carbon fiber is very slippery, although much sturdier than the g10 version.

Large Knives

Harley Davidson Boot Dagger

Probably the only good knife that came out of that craigslist deal. This collaboration resulted in a really cool little boot dagger. It is not double edged although could easily be sharpened. The sheath for it is really unsatisfactory and is way too large for it.

Humvee Bowie Set

Got this in a craigslist deal many years ago. They are some cheap bowie knives that are somewhat cool. Not much to say.

Country Bowie Knife

I received this knife for free and havent really used it. It doesn't really get used but it looks cool!
